Big Four Banks in USA

The USA banking industry is dominated by what are commonly referred to as the “Big Four“. These banking giants are JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup. These behemoth institutions are some of the largest and most influential banks in the world, providing a wide array of financial services to millions of customers nationally and internationally.

JPMorgan Chase

My bank of choice is JPMorgan Chase. It’s not just one of the big four banks in USA, but also one of the largest banks globally. It offers a multitude of financial services, from simple checking and savings accounts, to mortgages, to wealth management services. What keeps me at Chase is the breadth of services offered and their consistently good customer service.

Bank of America

Bank of America is another leading institution in the big four. It’s known for its extensive network of branches and ATMs. The accessibility of their physical locations combined with a robust online and mobile banking system works wonderfully for me, making the banking experience practicable and comfortable.

Wells Fargo

Despite recently facing some challenging news, Wells Fargo remains one of the big four in American banking. Known for having more branches than any other bank in the US, they have a significant presence in the market. My experience with Wells Fargo has been positive overall, with the emphasis on face-to-face interactions adding a personal touch to the banking experience.

Citigroup

Citigroup rounds out the big four. Their services extend to more than 160 countries which really entices me as international travel broadens my horizons. With their focus on credit cards and online banking, their services align well with my modern financial needs.

Federal Savings Banks

While not as large as the Big Four, Federal Savings Banks play a crucial role in the American banking system. These banks include the likes of Quontic Bank, Emigrant Bank, Morgan Stanley Bank, and First Internet Bank of Indiana.

Quontic Bank

As a digital bank, Quontic offers competitive rates on its savings and loan products, which in my opinion, is extremely beneficial in this low-interest rate environment.
