The online banking service provider that is the flagship of the MidwestOne brand is set to offer credit card, debit card, mobile and mobile wallet banking in Iowa, according to a news release issued by the company today.
The company announced the plans at the Iowa State Fair, with a video announcing the new offerings.
It’s the second time in less than a month that the company has announced plans to expand in the state, following its expansion to Las Vegas.
The company is also planning to expand to North Carolina.
The announcement comes as MidwestOne has a strong reputation as a banking partner for state and local governments.
In June, it announced that it had secured $1.5 million in funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
MidwestOne plans to add credit card and debit card banking to its portfolio in Iowa in the coming weeks.
The new plans will be available to MidwesternOne customers in Iowa and will be offered through a credit card or debit card statement.
MidwestNow, which also offers a credit and debit CardPay service in Texas, also announced plans for a credit cards and debit program in Iowa earlier this month.
The credit card service will launch in late 2018, according for MidwestOne.
