Business Insider article Argentina has been approved for the global financial services market, a country with a long history of online banking.
Bank of Americas, which has a large network of online bank branches in the country, has launched its new online banking services for customers in Argentina, starting with a free trial, the company announced in a press release on Wednesday.
The online banking platform will be available to Argentina’s users starting today.
The service will be open to Argentine users, but there are still some limitations to it.
Customers will be able to pay with a debit card and credit card, but they won’t be able use the Internet banking feature.
The bank will offer an alternative option, which is a subscription-based service.
Bank’s online banking is aimed at Argentina’s large diaspora population.
“With the help of the country’s diasporic network, our customers can receive financial services that are available to all Argentines,” the bank said in the release.
“We are confident in the platform and believe it will be a great fit for Argentina’s diasystem.”
The service is available for both mobile and desktop, the release said.
Argentina was once one of the world’s largest economies but has fallen behind in recent years due to the countrys economic woes.
Argentina’s economy contracted by almost 15% in 2015, while GDP fell by 2.6% in 2016.
Argentina has struggled to improve its domestic banking situation in recent times, with many Argentines unable to access the services offered by the country.
The countrys government is looking to revitalize the economy and improve its banking system.
